Short of a new pre-pro this is the next logical upgrade I think. pretty much Martin Logan electrostats and a pair of Motion 20s. A new pre-pro from Arcam or Monolith or others with Dirac Live are all $4000+ it seems. wondering if you all think this is worthwhile. Maybe I can forego Dirac Live on the side surround or front wide channels and use additional input/outputs for the subwoofers if I notice a difference but I don’t think the $99 “Dirac Bass Management” upgrade is for multi sub. I’d like Dirac Bass management too but that would require more channels and is cost prohibitive for now. and I’d leave the bass management as is with REW corrected via my 2x4HD. I have 7 channels (5 standard plus Audyssey front wides) and the MiniDSP DDRC-88A would go between the pre-pro and the amp to give me Dirac Live correction. Also no need for 4K HDMI as I have a workaround for the older receiver using a Nvidia Shield with HD Fury AVRKEY for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MasterAudio.ĭirac Live has me interested though.
